Withdrawal from maintenance treatment isn’t always necessary; it should be patient-driven, allowing patients to continue if it’s clinically indicated and they adhere to program guidelines. Patients can also request a medically supervised withdrawal schedule to minimize adverse effects from tapering too quickly. Our primary objective is to support patients in returning to a functional lifestyle through individualized treatment and effective discharge plans”.
It’s crucial to remember that Methadone and Buprenorphine support recovery but aren’t standalone treatments.
